Dialogue day: business and biodiversity

On September 23, 2025, QNP took part in the Economy, Biodiversity and Transformative Change dialogue day, organized by Ateliers pour la biodiversité and its partners, bringing together around 100 participants at the Space for Life Planetarium.
The day, designed to encourage networking and collective intelligence, brought together a wide variety of players – from SMEs to major corporations, municipalities, associations, unions, citizens, academics, the financial sector and NPOs, among others.
Together, participants reflected on the crucial issue of integrating biodiversity into economic decision-making. The sectoral and cross-sectoral workshops were highly productive, and led to proposals for structuring levers to ensure that the economy and the living world coexist in harmony, including: connecting business leaders to nature, anchoring action in the regions, pooling resources, integrating biodiversity into financing indicators, and giving nature a legal personality.
Beyond the proposals, a clear consensus emerged: taking nature into account in economic decisions is imperative if we are to improve the well-being of the population and ensure that of future generations.
This participation is part of our commitment to seeking plausible transformation trajectories towards a net positive economy, and a continuation of our collaboration with Ateliers pour la biodiversité, initiated at the Nature Summit Entreprises 2024. Our warmest thanks go to David Roy, President and CEO of the organization, who facilitates the Biodiversity Committee within our community of practice.
Preserving and regenerating resources and biodiversity is one of the 9 priorities at the heart of our Impact 2030 plan, which calls on companies to adopt circular and regenerative business models, while strengthening their resilience in the face of climate change.
