Since 2016
QNP mobilizes collective intelligence to accelerate the climate transition of companies in Quebec, particularly SMEs, with the aim of building a net positive Quebec by 2050.
Our initiative was born from a strong conviction: there is no prosperous economy on a planet in crisis. We believe that economic performance and climate action must go hand in hand. That’s why we are working to create winning conditions for SMEs to successfully engage in ambitious yet plausible transition pathways.
Quebec has committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and to reducing its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 37.5% by 2030, compared to the 1990 level. These goals involve a structural transformation of our economic fabric, across all regions. In this context, the contribution of the approximately 250,000 SMEs in Quebec – which employ more than 2 million people – is absolutely essential.
For nearly a decade, we have acted with rigor, boldness, and commitment to transform this vision into concrete actions. By 2050, we aim for a Quebec where businesses generate more ecological services than they consume, actively contributing to climate resilience, reducing environmental impacts, and preserving biodiversity.
